CfP: ‘Prefiguring’ the Medieval World

‘Prefiguring’ in the medieval world will be a two day conference held at the University of York, 28-29th May 2016 organised by Meg Boulton (York) and Elizabeth Alexander (York) discussing the themes of prefiguration and prefiguring along with associated ideas of foreshadowing were concepts understood to be central to the structure of the medieval world, and to subsequent understandings of it. Abstracts of no more than 300 words are being solicited  by 15th February, 2016.
